About us

Studio Botha is an independent interior architecture and design consultancy rooted in a passion for period properties, vintage & antiques, and the investment potential of a well-considered renovation.

Founded & led by Claire Botha, the studio creates unique and beautiful spaces for residential clients around Twickenham, Teddington, Richmond and beyond.

Our philosophy is to deliver well-considered home design layered with colour, form, and texture, blending vintage and contemporary pieces to create interiors that are impactful yet effortlessly relaxed.

Growing up in homes that were constantly being renovated instilled in Claire an instinct for visualising a home's potential and shaped a lifelong affinity for property development.

Following her early career in journalism, this sensibility evolved into a business in 2013, shaped by a series of personal renovation projects and formal study of interior design.

Claire Botha

The original business moniker Geek Vintique evolved from my deep love of preloved furnishings & period architecture. I rebranded as Studio Botha in 2026 to reflect the growing nature of the business.

For me, getting the build integrity right is a vital part of any period home renovation project, restoring, replacing or reproducing original features and creating focal points in each space.

Supported by a trusted network and small team, I have built a reputation for comprehensive personal service coupled with distinctive creative flair, with many clients returning to me time and again.

I currently live in Twickenham with my husband Andy, two of our four daughters, cockapoo Nala and ginger tom, Alfie.

After a few years post-initial renovation, the house required a much needed refresh. Claire was recommended to us to help plan the space. The result was an ‘instagram’ kitchen / living space that we love. So much so that she’s since designed a home office, snug and bedrooms for us too! Claire is easy to work with, listens and has amazing vision. From choosing colours that not only look great but also give the right feel to a room, to reflecting us in the overall scheme and down to the final detailing, she’s absolutely nailed every room.
